I want to take apart and clean the hydraulic's pressure regulator valve and safety valve on my 1956 Farmall 300 and I was wondering where these valves are located. The reason I wanted to check them, is that all of a sudden the hydraulics have started responding slowly. My tractor's hydraulic system in the past two years started making an occasional and unusual high pressure noise (sounds just like the noise a control valve makes when it automatically resets its self just when hitting it's maximum lift or lowering postion) for only just a second or two just after starting the engine. My hydraulics always worked good, But now all of a sudden they are responding very weakly and slowly since it has gotten colder out and also didn't make it's usual weird high pressure noise just upon starting of the engine. I changed the hydraulic oil and cleaned the filter and I think the pump is alright. Any information anyone could give me on the exact location of these valves would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ray in Pa.
