I finally got the 650 I've been looking at bought the other day. Looks like it's a pretty decent tractor- sheetmetal's straight, tires aren't the best but they hold air, missing the "650" emblems on the hood and some of the cowl metal between the fenders and the fuel tank, but all in all it's not bad. I was prepared to offer $500.00 but the guy asked $300.00 right off the bat, so I cleverly accepted. Think I got robbed???:) It was "supposed" to be a runner, but had been sitting, probably 10yrs or so. The motor was slightly stuck, but got it freed up easily enough. Got it running good on gas, but it won't switch to deisel. I am fairly knowledgable about gas engines, but this diesel is a whole new ballgame for me. Changed the filters and of course put new diesel in. I could get the glass "filter" and the rear canister filter to gravity bleed, but can't get the front canister filter to bleed. As I read in the archives, I attempted bleeding it with the engine running on gas and the throttle slightly open. No pressure registers on the guage, and I cant get any more than a few bubbles at the bleeders on the injectors. Is there an internal problem with the pump, or am I missing something? Also, what's the reason for two fuel lines coming out of the bottom of the main tank- one with a petcock and one without? Is one a return line?

With Ben, anyway, I can tell! He'll be busy working and I’m handing him tools and he says, "give me that..." and I’ve already got it in his hand or "hand me that....."and I’ve got the portable light right where he needed it placed to see. "Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
