Alot of its longevity is based on how it was taken care of and used. Was the oil and filter changed regularly,was it overheated,was it allowed to sit and idle alot,was it operated in dusty conditions without regular air filter service. If the tractor has had good regular maintenance,and was taken care of, it can run for 10,000 hours without an overhaul. If it has been abused,overheated,filters not changed can wear one out at 3000 hrs
