My Farmers Equip gurus tell me there's no such thing as a 240U! Might be a 240 series A Industrial. Almost sure of it if its yellow and has a cast front axle). Anyway, the steering motor for that is a totally different one than what goes in a 404/2404. The part number for the (240U as you call it) steering motor is 701 10 C91 which was replaced by suffix C94 and then changed to 701 112 C94.
