Check your battery cables. I'll bet my next paycheck that you have 12v cables. When you have 6v, it takes twice the amperage to start as compared to 12v. With 12v cables, your battery will always seem to be run down. These machines were engineered to start on 6v and it will work if you have heavy enough cables. You need 1 gauge cable for it to work. 12v cables are usually 4 to 6 gauge. Hope this helps, Brian.
