Jade,You can't always go by the decals. The serial number you indicate is definately a '49 and the FBH I believe is really a FBK. I believe you have a '49 M and at some point possibly the tractor was overhauled and they installed larger pistons. (Standard pistons in the M were 3-7/8", they might have went 1/8" overbore to 4" pistons. If this was the case they may have just put on the Super M decals. One other thing to check is the serial number on the engine. It's located on the right side of the block. Look at the block between the oil filler cap and the top of the mag and you'll see a flat area about 3/4" x 2". You may have to scratch off the gunk and paint to read what is stamped into the block. It should repeat the serial number that's on the plate on the clutch housing. Good luck!
