Don't know about a 450, but procedure is probably same as the Super M (Factory LP) that Dad used to have. (Wish I still had that tractor.) Top & bottom valves should both be closed when tractor is not running. Open the top valve (vapor) pull the switch, choke it a little if its cold, hit the starter & it'll run when its ready to run. Ours didn't need a lot of choke. After its running & warmed up somewhat, open the bottom valve to feed it liquid & close the top one. If you are not going to pull it hard, you can just run on vapor for short drives-like moving it in and out of the shop. If the process for a 450 is different, someone will post, I'm sure.
