Hey thanks for replying, I am currently a bridge designer, and work as a web developer at night. I am not rich, but I am not poor either. My average day is working as a designer 9 hrs, then working as a web developer from 9pm till 1am. -- I also have gotten into buying and fixing up houses. I also put meyself through college to get my BS in comp. science. I love to work -- don't know why, and it seems like i would rather do something i can enjoy like owning a farm(like you maybe in retirement)and support my wife with, rather than be unhappy and be wealthy. -- seems futile to be wealthy and unhappy going to work. It seems like a passion for farming seems to be setting in as I read the forums, and literature. -- of course it all started with the H :) I agree totally with you seems like people my age aren't willing to work - or as you say they are used to easy-street. I have had to manage a group of people at my firm, and I am really discouraged to see how lazy some of the kids coming out of school are. They seem to do just enough work to get by, not going that extra mile or putting in the extra time it may take to finish a project. -- I think I have rambled -- sorry. I guess in short I am saying that I would be willing to do the work -- just wish i would have been graced with having a farm in the family. -- Thanks again for replying -- I really enjoy hearing other people's perspective on farming, esspecially if they were involved in it directly. Because of the direct high start up cost, do you think I may be able to get into owning cattle? Thanks again
