The lift-all system is a one-way hydraulic setup. The 3 ports are all output ports, there is no need for return ports. The 3rd one closest to the rear of the tractor has delayed lift feature. This was used when a cultivator was mounted in front and on the back of the tractor. When you got to the end of the row, the front cultivators would raise first, then the rear. See www.farmall-h.com for a better explaination. If you want double-acting hydraulics, you can plumb a hydraulic spool valve(3-way controls- up, down, and hold) into one of the lift-all output ports. Then run a return line to the lift-all tank's drain plug to complete the setup.
