We like our 1256 with loader. Ours has a Farmhand 235 on it. We take care of our things, but a loader tractor always gets abused feeding in the winter. The only problems we have had with it are: clutch goes out about every 3 years or so, and about every 2 years it likes to start jumping out of high range (has some kind of ball and spring to hold it - this gets worn flat). Remember, this tractor is strictly loader use, so it gets shifted at least 15 times a day while feeding... Not to mention it loads about 1200 bales per year on the trailer. DT407 engine is a good one, at least it has been for us. We used it in the field the first couple of years we owned it - would pull right with our 1086.
