Buster, In case Bob M is out havin' fun this weekend and you need some quick help -- Not sure where a 10ohm 2 watt resistor would be used. Dropping resistor value for a 12V system into a 6 volt coil should be around 2 ohms rated at around 40 watts to be safe. My memory says 2 watts is a little slim to use on the headlight dimmer or the charge chopper switch on a cutout/generator setup for an M, H, etc??? But -- if you need something quickly, remember that resistors in series are additive - so 2 five ohm, 5 two ohm, 10 one ohm resistors will give you 10 ohms. If you wire same value resistors in parallel, the value of one resistor / number of resistors = resistance, so you probably won't want to go parallel. Sorry, can't post more relevant info, but if you get no answers, post back with the application and circuit you're working on, and someone can probably answer very quickly.

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
