Is there any way for you to post a photo? The 404, 424 & 444 are all similar. THEN AGAIN, it could possibly be a 2444... A photo would help narrow things down.
I own a 1965 424 Diesel, and I can tell you that photos of 424's are rare. I found an I & T Service Manual a few years ago, and that manual covers several different tractors.
