Identification help needed

I have an opportunity to purchase an older tractor from a neighbor's estate. The owner died unexpectedly and his family knows nothing about the tractor in question. It is obviously quite old, but I have no idea exactly how much so. It says "International 300 Utility" on the side and has a serial number that appears to be 860558-R8. However, it is worn and its possibly the 8's are actually 3's. It has a bucket on the front and a york rake on the back. It seems to have been kept outside for some time and has a fair amount of rust, but it does run well and looks as if the gentleman had made efforts to take care of it. Is it possible to estimate the age from the serial number, and if so, an estimate of what would be a fair offer for it?
