Whatever works for you. Problem with K&N is that when you clean them, they have to be washed with water, dried and reoiled (time consuming for a tractor that is used very much). I only clean the one on my pickup about every 2 years -- Mfg claims they actually flow better slightly dirty, but mine does not see much dust. On a tractor that sees a lot of use, you would probably have to do that daily, or you are going to lose flow. I have also heard that they tend to let the fine particles through, so they need to be maintained--of course you still have your oil bath, which is better than a K&N, so you should be ok as long as you are not strangled for air.
