The belly pump only puts out about 800 psi of pressure which is lower than modern hydraulics. You can compensate for the lower pressure with a larger diameter cylinder. Also the system is only one way, which means it lifts, but down is gravity. You can make it two way by adding a two way open center control valve. You pipe from one of the pressure ports on the belly pump to the new valve and then pipe the return from the new valve to either the fill port for the belly pump reservoir or to the drain of the belly pump. Pipe from the new valve to the two way cylinder. When you want to use the two way system, lock the lift all operating rod in the lift position and then fluid circulates through the control valve and back to the reservoir, or to the cylinder when you operate the control valve. This does no harm to the belly pump as it circulates internally all the time anyway and you are just changing the cirulation to be external. The pump should have plenty of pressure and flow to operate a snow blade. Of course you realize the belly pump is not live and only operates when the clutch is engaged.
