Went to a consignment sale recently and this darn thing followed me home.Had no intention of buying it, but bought it for less than most H's.Everything seems to be OK, except it has a rattle in the drive train. Doesn't really sound like a bad bearing.Sitting idling with the trans in neutral, just sort of a more or less steady clunk, clunk. Pulling the TA back slows the clunking. Moving ,the noise is more pronounced in reverse but doesn,t really seem to affect the movement of the tractor. Took it out on the road and brought it up to full throttle in 5th high, and couldn,t tell that there was any problem.Any insight on the problem would be appreciated. Can any one give me some general info on the tractor? I wasn't aware that IH had used anything but IH engines. Its a rowcrop, narrow front with a fast hitch. thanks
