Your tractor has casting codes on almost every part on the tractor. These are not part numbers, but are the date the particular part was cast. They are in the form 12*3*T or, in this case Dec 2 1950, and will probably range over 3 or 4 months. The * resembles the head of a screw. As the post says below they range from I (1939) thru Z (1954)for the years the M/Super M were produced. EXCEPT that V was not used, and both U and W represent 1951. You M would have been assembled probably within a couple of days through maybe a couple of months from the last casting date you find. The serial number on the engine does not match the chassis serial number.
