Some early Farmall 560's did have rear end problems when operated at extreme load for long periods of time. However, these problems were fixed by an "Improvement Package" offered by International. This fix was applied to most tractors in the field and also incorporated into production tractors. You might find a early 560 from some areas of the country that did not have the Improvement Package installed, but I know in our area (Mississippi Delta), all of the tractors already sold were fitted with the improvement package. As to starting, as long as you have good glow plugs, the D282 is a good starting engine in either hot or cold weather. Harold H
