Brian: I know the jet you are talking about and I have to replace most of them(the idle jet). Many already are broken off but on the ones I cannot remove I use a small screwdriver and go ahead and break off the stem. Then I use a 3/32" Left handed drill bit. That in itself removes alot of remaining jet. Then if it still does not screw itself out I use a 4-40NF or 5-40NF tap( I don't recall at the moment). After boring through with drill bit use tap to clean out threads in bowl. Careful not to twist off tap being small as it is! After If I remember correctly, on the H carbs you can look in from the bottom of bowl through main fuel jet hole and make SURE you get all loose material removed. I run the 3/32" bit through with my fingers to push out and purge any larger pieces, then use plenty of air.I have found a mig welding wire(.05"?) works well to clean out carb jets and orifices. It is small in diameter yet hard enough to "feel" around an push out dirt. Post back any questions or confusion.
