In stead of buying the 15.00 pipe that goes from the exhaust manifold to the muffler, I just bought a 2.00 piece of pipe from the hardware store that was already threaded with pipe threads , and I need to cut it to the proper length. My question is : Is the muffler clamp supposed to go on the outside of the hood where it can be seen or on the inside. I have seen them both ways. Just wondering what is proper. Thanks, Jonathan Mirgon By the way this is a 1940 Farmall (a)
