I didn't do this but I watched my neighbor do it and thought it would fit the subject. He had just bought a new Dodge 3/4 pickup-had it for 6 months-and went to hook up the gooseneck flatbed to it and in the rush of things forgot to latch the coupler to the ball. Thing turned bad when he decided to load his 4010 (I know it is a Deere but...) The tractor pushed the trailer up and ahead smashing the box into the cab and the neck of the trailer took out the back corner of the box plus taillight. 6 month old truck with $1500 damage. Taught me well, I always double check coupler before loading the Farmalls.
