i will have to try that too. we have a 1948 td-6 since new and every gas start diesel i have heard of leaks diesel into the injection pump resevior slowly but rebuilds never fixed the problem. thanks for the help. by the way, if you are interested, i believe that the Great Oregon Steamup is featuring IH next summer. i am not sure if that is where the IH meet will be or if it is just their theme but the phone number is 1-503-393-2424 if you want to check it out, address is antiquepowerland.com
