Greetings, A good looking smta in the pic. A well cared for smta will give you many years of service and enjoyment. My Dad bought A new smta gas in Jan. 1955 for $2250.00. A couple years later He bought a smtad at auction. These tractors were well cared for, but worked very hard, often overloaded pulling a IH #60 4-14 plow or a 13' disc and cultipacker over fresh plowed ground. There was never any concern about using the TA or not. They were both rebuilt in the mid 60's with the 450 kits and new clutch and TA, the heads were checked and no cracks were found. They still work regularly on His farm. Sorry about My rambling. Just trying to say these tractors are what Farmalls are all about. Michigan Dave
