First snowfall we get so I take the Farmall out and plow the snow. Everything was going fine, did the driveway and heading back for one last sweep, all of a sudden I lost power steering, no biggie. So i hop off it and see the belt flipped off, go to the garage get the proper tools and re-install the belt and tighten it. I start it up and the fan is hitting the power sterring pulley, jump back off and loosen it up and pry up on the front of the pump which tilts it back and away from the fan blades. Fire it up one more time, start to back it up and the front end drops and smoke is coming from the front of the tractor, shut it off and go look in the front, the two front bolts that hold the tires to the bolster I guess you call it broke bent the back two and the tire was resting on the crank pulley and wore a hole right through the tire. By this time it is 8:00 PM and dark, so after a few savory cuss words I go into the house for the night. Get some new bolts (3/4 X 3, course thread instead of fine) and attempt to put the new bolts in. The left front bolt I can't get in because it is hitting the hand crank bar, so I put the right front bolt in and drive it ever so slowly back and park it for the winter till spring. I have no luck what so ever. Just wanted to relay the story to get it off my chest.
