Steve, I don't claim to be an expert on carbs, but as I recall, the distillate/kerosene carburetors had an adjustable main jet. Most (at least those I have manuals for) call for screwing the main jet needle out 5 or 6 turns to operate on gasoline. This effectively removes the needle from the metering system, implying that the jet is drilled for gasoline and the needle is used to compensate for varying gravity heavy fuel. I guess what I am getting at is I don't think a distillate jet would cause you problems. Perhaps your difficulty lies elsewhere. What are the problems you are experiencing? Regards, Farmalldan
