A little trick I have learned is to put the tractor in a high gear with the engine stopped, then, while holding the clutch pedal down, start the engine. You might also want to lock the brakes, for a little more resistance. This has worked for me on several occasions. Make sure you have plenty of space in front of you before attempting this, preferably NOT in the shed. If this doesn't work, you will have to do as Cowman said, and tear in to it.
