Considering the fresh oil and the very good compression I would suggest that you give the old girl a little time. Watch for white smoke on startup and each time it is started let the engine run at asy 1000 rpm untill warmed up good. After each few hours of use pull the plugs and look for very clean and bright plug tips. While doing this keep a close watch on the water level and the amount of moisture accumulating in the oil. The plugs will tell you if the problem is in the head. Got a feeling there is no problem--just the old girls way of telling you she's glad to be running again.
