I located a snow plow frame and blade (seperately) for my '47 H fairly easily and inexpenively - the two came to about $80. The frame required fabrication of a couple of 'ears' to match the mount points on the blade. Once this was done, the mounting of both the frame and blade was very easy for this neophite. Using some 3" angle, I extended the draw bar to form a platform for a rock box. The added rear weight came to 460 pounds which I'm guessing is around the weight of the frame and blade. Even though I need to change the angle of the blade manually, the system works admirably. I've plowed 6" of really wet snow on a moderate grade with nary a slip. I don't know if this would be more trouble than what you're considering but I thought you might be able to use an as-experienced plow-forward account.
