I acquired my first old farm tractor, a 1952 H, this summer. I helped an elderly gent that goes to my church cut, haul, and stack a large oak for fire wood. In addition, I helped rearrange some stuff in his barn. In exchange for my help, (if you can call it that, evan though I tried to reduce his workload, he still seemed to do more work then me, at least he was more tired than I.) he gave me his H, which has been parked outside for the past five or so years due to electrical malfunction. Hopefully, it won't be seized, and I can get it running without big money. I'm 16 and had a money paying job this summer, so give priority to younger kids who need the stuff more then I. But, if you folks run out kids to give to, here's my list: Spark plug wires. Oil and temp gauges. Hoses for carb and radiator. All electrical wires. Rear light assembly. Gaskets and seals, such as valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, rear axle seals, pto gasket, etc. V-belts. Probably whatever parts you need to rebuild the starter and generator. In short whatever parts rot in five years of sitting! Well, that's all (HA!) that I can think and know of right know. The tractor is still at my friend's place, so I haven't given it a really good look over. As I said earlier, I hope it is not seized, because for at least last three years, all that has been covering the broken off exhaust stack is a terra-cotta pot.(GROAN!!!!) I just want to say that you "Santas" are very kind and generous! A very blessed Christmas to all!!

The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
