You have the right idea on how the hyd. work. Loader will raise while tractor is moving, clutch out. Loader will raise with tractor stopped, clutch out. Loader won't raise unless clutch is out. These loaders were mostly used to load manure in to a spreader. Most were set up with forks, these could be covered with an attachment that allowed you to load sand or lime and such. They made the tractor hard to steer when the bucket was loaded, also made it top heavy when it was raised. They aren't that easy to take off and on either, but they are cheap. Really depends on how much use you will get out of a loader. Putter
