If you are woried about it, go to the dealer and buy a set of the rubber O-ring seals for the sleeves. They go in the block and seal at the bottom of the sleeves. You will need to pull them all (yes they are wet sleeves), clean all the rust off and get a smooth contact area for the sleeve. Also the shoulder where the top seats is important and must be clean so the sleeve goes all the way down and doesn't hold the head from going down evenly. New pistons and sleeves act the same way, when installing them the sleeves will sometimes slide up in the bore when you rotate the crank. The important thing is the clean shoulder at the top, and a good seal at the O-ring at the bottom. Stan(VA).
