3514 loader

I have a chance to buy a 1971 IH 3514 diesel loader with a nice sims cab (good glass), needs tires. The owner said it ran great but the hydrostatic trans leaked or failed and he parked it (5+ years ago) and bought a new one. The price is 250.00. I guess it sounds like a good deal but after you put tires, trans. work and general work then where do I stand $. It seems like parts and info are scarce. What are these worth and where can I find more info.? I know the cab or loader are worth more than $250. even if I put $1000.+/- into it I'm still doing O.K.? Thanks for info
