I have done a lot of cultivating with a Super C with the wide front. My father taught me how to avoid the short turns, the same way he had with a team of horses. Count the rows, then after you run down the first row, skip to the center of the piece, and go back down that row, go back up the second row, and so on. If the unplanted end is narrow you still may have to use the brakes to turn tight enough, but at least it's only 90 degrees, not 180. If you need to, skip only to the quarter, continue and cultivate each row a second time in the opposite direction.

The Super C wide front is a little bit tender, mine has quite a bit of welding in it here and there, mostly from abuse and accident. I used to have two of them, but one lost both spindles when the hired help took to the ditch at full speed to avoid an idiot. I built an adaptor, and that tractor now has a narrow front from an H. Looks like it's ready to take off.
