Paul: It has been 15 years since I had either my Super A or 130 apart. I know they are both the same. I am not certain the A is same. I have a IT manual for all the C-123 engines and the parts listing and diagram do not show a bushing of any kind. I know there are other books in between yours and mine. However my thoughts are if it didn't exist in 1940 or in 1958, it probably didn't happen. Could it be a bushing someone has added to achive extended life to fan hub and shaft. That is the best answer I can muster.
