After dropping the rear wheel of a loaded grain truck in the ditch because I turned the corner too short and causing one of the sideboards to lift up spilling a hundred bushel or so of wheat on the road, my grandfather told me that I must have a lot of "common sense" since it was obvious that I hadnt used any of it yet. Oh yeah, he also handed me a shovel and had me go back and reclaim as much wheat off the road as I could and run it thru a gleaner by hand, I knew right then and there that I didnt ever want to repeat that performance. I guess the bottom line is that we acquire a certain degree of "common sense" from experience.
