I've got one that I bought and restored. Mine is a American #8 powered by an M. From what I've learned the #8 is the size of the overall grader.(someone wrote in to this site and had a #6 powered by an H) The one I have was made by American Road Equipment Co. out of Omaha Neb. From what I can learn there were other companies that made them also. As far as color I stuck to Farmall Red, but I understand they were military OD and also yellow. It orginally came with dual rear wheels and had some sort of cab or cover over the operator. I use mine on the farm, grading pasture roads and building terraces ect. It works great, as long as you take it slow and have ten acres to turn around in! Search the archives under "grader" I think at one time there were some other commentary on them.
