Kerosene head on my H

I just discovered my 1940 H is equipped with the kerosene head with the short, approx. 5 inch, valves. I was surprised because my dad bought the tractor 30 years ago and we always ran it on gasoline. Is the kerosene head rare and worth restoring? It looks like parts might be hard to find. Any idea how performance may have been affected by burning gasoline in this engine?
