Wiring diagram for the light switch and generator for a Farmall M

I have been trying to install a 6-volt three brush
generator that originally was on my fathers 1941
Farmall "M". He had taken the generator off for
some unknown reason and I wanted to re-inatall it.
However, we have not been able to get it to generate properly. I have had the generator and volatage regulator checked and it charges good on the bench. But when we hook it up on the tractor it does not want to charge. Perhaps we do not understand the light switch circuit and would like to obtain a wiring diagram for that unit. The light switch has an off setting, a high charge
setting a dim setting and a bright setting. We do
not seem to be able to understand it. Help us with a wiring diagram if at all possible. Frank
