I agree with the "Tractor Vet" - start with the flow divider. The fact that you must activate a aux. valve suggests that the pump is pushing all the fluid through the aux. circuit and back to tank. By actuating the valve, you are creating back pressure - forcing the fluid to go another direction (a.k.a. the power steering) Remember - the fluid will take the path of least resistance. Sometimes just taking a valve apart and cleaning it will solve the problem. The diverter may have a little dirt in it, causing it to stick. Not sure about the two point - are you sure the ram was good from the parts tractor?
