Cleaned the commutator with 220 sandpaper and also replaced the brushes, but no change in output. Even the brush springs were checked for binding, no problem there, probably someting internal. The shop sends the generators and starters back looking and working great. I think the last overhaul of a 450 12 volt starter was only $65, so their prices are pretty good.
