My guess is that the water is coming down the shifter. I don't know for sure what will prevent that, I had over a gallon of water in the trans of my B which had separated out during the time it sat outside. Keeping it under cover will help, I'm going to see if putting a tight fitting rubber washer on the shift lever under the spring helps. At least it should deflect some of the water. I also plan on keeping the tractor under a tarp or in a shed from now on when it rains.
