You need to first check the 1/4" tubing or so that goes from the block on the carb side. to the air breather. It can some times get plugged up over the years and makes it so the crank case can not vent and it will then vent out through the oil fill. I suggest taking the line off and making sure it is not plugged. I think it is a 1/2" line wrench to take it off.
