Red Rims?

My Father passed away recently and in his things I found a copy of the 31st edition ( 1946 ) of "The Red Tractor Book. Its a neat old book with specifications on most if not all tractors made in 1946. One of the advertisement pages by International Harvester shows a H Farmall with the typical farmer and dog all in full color. The tractor has red rims and muffler. In fact the only color other than red is the black tires , a black steering wheel and the decals . Since this is an offcial IH ad I'm wondering if some tractors came out with painted rims? Perhaps they were painted red during the war years?
