I checked my H and M parts manuals, The H and M both use the same studs and nuts, BUT there is a serial number break where the stud numbers change. For the H it is 106907 (about mid 1942), for the M it is 41345 (late 1941). Can't tell you which is 3/8 and which is 7/16. OEM is a little slow getting me my last order (2 weeks now), some of the items are made after you order, which slows things down--but they have a lot of hard to find parts. You are correct about the numbers in their catalog, apparently pulled off their computer, which is also wrong.
