Well the 460 utility project. 1. Steering box is rebuilt even though half the gaskets I purchased weren't the right ones ( made gaskets..then coated them with copper coat spray from permatex hint let it dry for 24 hrs before assembly). 2. Currently, I am making new tie rods with new aftermarket ends. 3. Next I am making an air filter assembly. 4. Rewired whole unit and replace coil with one that has an internal resistor. maybe I'll put an elctronic ignition on it. 5.Can't find a tachometer so I amm looking into an electronic one with hour meter..Hope I can find one that fits. I am looking for function not restoration. Then I can start working on the stuff that I noticed when I bought the tractor. Oh well..Ya know it takes me back to when I was farming with IH's loved them...still love em!!
