I cut off the old belt and then heat the ring that turns with a torch Hold the fan and turn the ring with a water pump pliers after heating . This usually works. Don't overdo it with the heat. They can really be stubborn sometimes. I have in a couple of cases taken off the radiator so I could get at the pump. Then I put some new packing in the water pump too. This was not one of IH's best patents. I put greese on the ring when I get the threads exposed so hopefull it won't be so difficult the next time the belt is changed.
