CNKS: I've done a bit of looking since my earlier post and what I see on this is they just use a side dresser driven from the seed plate drive on the left rear axle. For planting the cultivator ground working tools and fertilizer boots are removed. The ground drive planter complete with fertilizer boots is installed and the fertilizer tubes from the side dresser are attached to the boots on the planter. I think you must use dual fertilizer boots in both cases. This part could vary a bit as I have seen these side dressers with one fertilizer tube and I have also seen them with two fertilizer tubes. I think it would be just a matter of matching what you add with what you have. Even if the equipment is aftermarket the system is very much the same.
