I have a 1940 (a) that made the same noise when I got it back together. On the bottom side of the tourque tube there is an access hole, try adjusting your clutch tighter with the adjusting nuts on the clutch rod. This will put more tension between the throughout bearing and the pressure plate. Did you replace the throughout bearing ? If the bearing is bad this may not resolve the noise.
