From what I understand IH offered a kit to add on to the Super C's that came from the factory without fast hitch. There was an auction not to far away from us a few years back in which they had a lot of super c mounted equipment. There was a toolbox there for a super c and the toolbox was one of the items that needed to be changed when putting the fast hitch on the tractor. We concluded that was one of the tractors that had it added on later. There was also another farmer in our neighborhood that had the fasthitch added on later to his super c. My grandpa bought a super c new right before they introduced the fast hitch. He never did add on the fast hitch because he already had the mounted implements for the tractor without fast hitch. So chances are that yours is a 51 but had the fast hitch added later.
