That sounds like either the gears are out of the fasthitch valve or a littel roll pin back on the hitch that centers the linkage in the valve is broke this is the linkage that runs up the left side of the tractor to the dash and goes into the valve assy. I had the pin break on a 460 that i had years ago and it had me stumped till i tore that linkage apart and found the problem. The pressure should drop off when the hitch reaches the hight that you want .
